National Gallery, London Visit

If you click on the blue video box on the lower right of this page (with the Google logo) you will see the video I made from our visit to the National Gallery. The picture quality has suffered a little between compression and uploading to the google video site. But I think the quality is still good enough to imagine the original. Enjoy. Some of our subscribers didn't see it on the travelblog.org website.

Invitation to our provisional travel blog

As most of you know by now, the site of our original travel blog, www.travelblog.org is having server problems. I hope the webmaster is able to solve them. It's a great site and so easy to use. We've had so much fun posting entries and reading your comments that we didn't want to stop. So in the meantime (and perhaps for the rest of our time in England) Jay and I will be using this blog.
I'm making a video about our trip to Winchester which I hope to post soon. I have to figure out how to do it on this blog. This coming weekend, August 4-6, we will be visiting Bath, the site of the famous ancient Roman baths and setting of Jane Austen novels. It's a great place for photography. Next week I'll post our photos and adventures.
From August 10-14, our friend Amber Soja will be visiting. She is on her way back from Siberia, where she has been conducting experiments with controlled burning in the boreal forests. Among other things, we will be having our hair done by students at the Vidal Sassoon Advanced Academy in London.
Jay loves his job. Being in England is fun, but expensive. We really like the food and the great ale. We do miss our home and the cats. I'm developing into quite the techie, making videos, contributing to blogs, and learning how to use the new Windows web page software.
I hope you are all having a lovely summer.
